We have received calls from a number of our customers reporting a sync delay between HomeGauge and Google Calendar. After an internal investigation the HomeGauge engineering team have concluded that the issues are coming from the Google’s bandwidth limits.
Who does this affect?
The sync issues are likely to affect any Google Calendar user.
Why does this happen?
To prevent abuse and manage bandwidth, Google imposes limits on interactions with their Calendars. In times of heavy load Google may enforce stricter limits in order to ensure that the service is available for all. Eventually, as usage decreases, your calendar will sync.
How can I prevent it?
Unfortunately, this matter is not in HomeGauge’s control. We are actively investigating the situation and searching for any viable workarounds. For now, we recommend you refer to your appointment calendar directly to view any schedule detail.
